Who is The Med Collective?

Director and Founder: Paula Woodward

The Med Collective is the brainchild of Paula Woodward, an experienced consultant who specialises in medical education.

Paula comes from a medical research background, with a PhD (Medicine) from the University of Queensland.  Following 10 years of medical research experience in academia and biotechnology, Paula opted to follow her passion for science communication, first undertaking a Masters in Science (Science Communications), then working as a science writer for the Charles Darwin Foundation in the Galapagos Islands.

Upon her return to Australia, Paula moved into the medical communications industry, working her way up through the ranks with leading international medical communications agencies, specialising in medical education. In 2009, she decided to focus on her passion for putting the patient at the centre of all education and communication projects she works on, and started her medical education consultancy, from which The Med Collective was born.

Paula has worked across a vast range of therapy areas and has extensive medical education/communications project management and medical writing experience targeting physician (specialist, GP), pharmacy, nursing, internal/industry and patient/carer audiences.
